Ondudu Safari Lodge
Tucked among the granite hills of the Erongo Mountains near Omaruru, Ondudu Safari Lodge is a quiet base for travellers who prefer to linger rather than rush. With scenic hiking trails, exceptional birdwatching and ancient rock art on your doorstep, this is a place to stay for several nights, slow your pace and let the landscape unfold.
Our chalets surrounded by granite boulders
Set in a secluded valley where desert, mountain and bushveld meet, Ondudu Safari Lodge rests on granite boulders with wide views over the Erongo Mountains. Raised walkways and stone steps connect the stone-and-thatch main lodge to luxury tented chalets and a secluded Treehouse, all designed to blend into the rocks and keep you close to nature.
On arrival you are welcomed with a cool drink before settling into your chalet, relaxing at the bar carved from an old mokoro canoe, or watching light and shadow move across the boulders from one of the viewing decks. Stay a while, swim in the small pool while birds visit the waterhole, read on the sofas in the lounge, or sit by the firepit on winter evenings as you listen for wildlife in the dark.
